Our rehearsal space is almost 90 square metres in area. Two and-a bit sides of the room are covered in a three metre high acoustic curtain, that can be moved out of way when necesary.. The room itself is pretty high, so we found that we really needed to do something to soften the reflections in the space. As the fourth side is mirrored, volume was an unwanted side effect of the sheer amount of shiny, reflective surfaces we had created. The floor is a polished wooden laminate, so the acoustic curtain was a much needed solution. It doesn`t quite go to the back wall so provides a nice corridor in and out of the room too.
     
Aesthetically, it`s pleasing - you get a black backdrop to your stage as you watch yourself in the full length mirrors. The space is cool in summer, could be cold in winter but we make sure the heating`s on for you (we`re nice like that). The gear WORKS (generally speaking, it`s regularly serviced or replaced) and the heads on the drums are replaced pretty regularly too. The mic stands are disposed of if they stop being pleasurable to use (nothing worse!) and the cables binned if they develop issues.
   
We like to keep the place clean, we don`t allow drinks other than water in the space and we`ve always been smoke free. There are fire extinguishers around, we have health and safety and fire procedure policies and we`re fully insured.
